Industrial gear units used to drive the plasticizing screw of injection moulding machines

Industrial gearboxes for injection moulding machines are designed for precise torque and stable performance during the plasticizing and moulding process. They help improve energy efficiency, reduce noise and cooling water usage, and support high-speed injection with consistent moulding accuracy, which is ideal for producing both thin-walled and thick-walled components.

These industrial gearboxes are developed to drive the plasticizing screw in injection moulding machines. Designed with a parallel-shaft structure, they provide high torque transmission and maintain stable performance even under continuous, high-speed operation. Noise levels remain low, and efficiency exceeds 95%, ensuring smooth and consistent output.

A three-stage reduction design optimizes the spacing between the motor, gearbox, screw, and barrel, forming a compact U-shaped layout. This configuration saves installation space while allowing all components to work together efficiently as an integrated system.

Structure Overview

Casing
The gearbox housing is made from high-quality materials such as grey cast iron (FC250), ductile cast iron (FCD450), or steel plates, to provide excellent rigidity and vibration resistance, ensuring stable performance during continuous operation.
Gears
The gears use a helical design and are manufactured from 18CrNiMo7-6 alloy steel. Each gear is machined according to DIN 6 or higher precision standards to achieve low noise levels and high transmission efficiency.
Bearings
This gearbox series uses imported tapered or self-aligning roller bearings, offering smooth operation and extended service life under heavy load conditions.
Motor Flange and Drive Shaft
In the TIN series gearboxes, the motor flange and input shaft are standard components designed for direct installation on injection molding machines. Their configuration matches traditional hydraulic motor systems, allowing users to easily switch to an electromechanical drive without modifying the existing setup. Customized flanges and input shafts can also be manufactured according to customer drawings. The flange is made of cast iron, while the output shaft is constructed from quenched and tempered alloy steel to ensure durability and reliable performance.
