Structure Overview

Housing
Made with high-strength ductile iron (FCD450) or steel for excellent rigidity and vibration resistance. This ensures structural stability and long service life even under high load and continuous operation.
Gears
Feature a helical design and are made from 18CrNiMo7-6 or equivalent materials. Each gear is precisely machined to DIN 6 quality standards or higher, ensuring smooth operation, low noise, and high transmission efficiency.
Thrust Bearings
294 .E-type thrust bearings support the axial load generated by the twin screws, maintaining steady alignment and minimizing wear during continuous extrusion.

What is the main function of an industrial gearbox?

Industrial gearboxes control the speed and torque of rotating equipment by adjusting the ratio between the input and output shafts. Inside the gearbox, gears of different sizes work together to transfer power efficiently, allowing machines to operate at the right speed and force for each application.

What is the difference between a gearbox and a gear reducer?

A gearbox is a general term that refers to any system of gears used to change speed, torque, or the direction of power transmission. A gear reducer, however, is a specific type of gearbox designed to lower rotational speed while increasing torque. It’s generally used in applications that require high torque and controlled motion, such as conveyors, mixers, and lifting systems. Every gear reducer can be considered a type of gearbox, but not all gearboxes are designed as speed reducers.

How to choose between a gearbox and a speed reducer?
